With a lightweight 6 lbs. body, you'll make quick work out of even the largest of tasks. If that's not light enough, the included shoulder strap and auxiliary handle combine to alleviate fatigue during long days on the job. Attach the handle to either side of the sander for both left-handed and right-handed users, or ditch it altogether to fit into tight spaces and corners. The lock-on power switch keeps your sander rotating even after you release the trigger. Adjust the speed of our powerful 10 Amp motor anywhere from 1500 to 2300 RPM to meet the needs of the project at hand. The 8.5 in. hook and loop base pad makes sandpaper changes a breeze. Control excess dust with the variable air flow dust extraction dial. The 7.5 ft. flexible dust vacuum hose attaches easily to either the included dust bag or the dust collection system of your choice, with both a 1-7/8 in. and a 2-1/4 in. dust adapter for maximum versatility. This package also includes 8-pieces of hook and loop sandpaper disks (two 150-grit pieces, two 180-grit pieces, two 240-grit pieces, and two-400 grit pieces). Replacement sandpaper available under model numbers 6369SP60 (60-grit), 6369SP80 (80-grit), 6369SP120 (120-grit), 6369SP150 (150-grit), and 6369SP240 (240-grit).

I wish I'd had this Wen 8.5 inch Variable-speed Drywall Sander several years ago when I was drywalling two different art studios for my wife. I remember spending hours hand-sanding the first studio walls because I had never done a major drywall project before that. I had done a few wall patches and touch-ups to cover nail holes and such, but never an entire room from scratch. This sander would have made quick work of any drywall sanding project.

The WEN Variable Speed Handheld Drywall Sander it the tool I was looking for. No more hand sanding or using my 5” rotary disk sander. This is cutting my time on sanding due to 8 1/2” disks. The body does come with a auxiliary handle and shoulder strap to help take away the fatigue when doing long sanding jobs. The motor is variable speed motor that will go from 1500 to 2300 RPM. There is a control excess dust with you can adjust the variable air flow dust extraction dial. The flexible dust vacuum hose is 7 ½ feet in length. It attached to dust bag or a dust collector. It come with the dust bag and two adapters for the dust collector. It comes with two of 150, 180, 240 and 400 grit sanding discs for different sanding requirements. At my HD store they do not carry the sandpaper discs in stock, you will have to order it online. It comes with a pair of replacement carbon brushes to replace with they are worn out. In using it was very easy to use and with the shoulder strap it made my job a lot easier. The dust collector got most of the dust and into the bag. It is a great product from WEN and it comes with a two-year warranty. I think I might to start loving to sand drywall again.

10 AMP CORDED 8.5 IN. VARIABLE SPEED HANDHELD DRYWALL SANDER WITH SANDPAPER, DUST HOSE, AND COLLECTION BAGI didn't have a large drywall job to test it on which I very seldom have very big drywall jobs. I'm a painter and do quite a few patches in walls. I had a couple of holes about 15x15 inches. I put a couple coats of mud on them and purposely left them rough and put the mud on pretty thick. I hooked up the hose that came with it and plugged that into my shop vac which has a bag in it instead of a filter so no dust escapes. Drywall dust is very fine and goes everywhere. I followed the directions that were very simple to understand and started sanding my patches. It works beautifully. It sanded the patches smooth in no time at all and the vac collected all the dust I didn't have to bag off the room. What a time saver that is. The only problem is can get kind of heavy if you do it for long periods of time. It weighs 6.5 pounds which over time can tire out your arms. Very happy with it. I think it will save me a lot of time on jobs. highly recommend.

The 10 Amp Corded 8.5 in. Variable Speed Handheld Drywall Sander with Sandpaper, Dust Hose, and Collection Bag come well packed and includes everything to get you started on a smooth surface. Great control and easy to handle. It comes with a long hose to connect to your vacuum and a shoulder strap, so no more holding the sander up or at least gives you a break now and then to relax and not have to set it down, especially if you are on a ladder. The handle can be set for a right or left handed person, which is a nice feature for this house, that has one of each. Dust bag works as expected and it's nice that it does come swith a few disc of sandpaper.
