10/23/2022 I have just added a picture of the con vin stamp that is in the rough casting area near the bellhousing and oil filter which identifies this engine as the original the car was born with, the picture is between the front pad picture and dash vin picture. This is a very nice numbers matching, born with engine and trans., rotisserie restored original 69 SS 396 4 speed Camaro for sale. First there is a little history to this car. I have personnaly known about this car since 1997 when I first moved to Fl. It was in storage in Jupiter Fl. for 23 + years before a disassemble and restoration was started on all the original components that still were with the car. The complete restoration was finished about 3 1/2 years ago. The car was completely dis-assembled and everything was restored and rebuilt. It retains its' original color, Azure Turquoise and black interior. This car retains a very high percentage of its' original date coded components that I sent out for restoration, as well as restoring many items myself. The car was restored at Muscle Express in Jupiter Fl., where I worked for many years and also restored many National Award Winning cars. I spent many hours with this car. It also should be noted that this Norwood Camaro is a very late build 11A 1969 when the 70s' models were in production hence the CJB suffix stamp on the pad and vin stamp down by the oil filter flangeThe Engine: 854 born with block, heads and intake dated to the car. Completely rebuilt .30 over all new internals, heads all new springs, valve train and balanced. The engine still retains its' original carb., dist., water pump, alternator, starter, exhaust manifolds, power steering pump and pulleys. The engine compartment still retains its' original re-cored Harrison radiator, Delco Moraine booster and master cylinder
Trans: M-20 wide range with Muncie stamp and vin stamp on the side 661 main case per late 69 build. The trans. was totally dis-assembled and rebuilt.
The Rear End: This rear has a CBR code on it and when I first wrote this listing, I listed this rear as not being original to this car. However, it has now been brought to my attention by several knowledgeable Camaro guys that they believe this is the original rear to this car, as it is perfectly dated for the car. I didn't know that GM just placed a " C " before the 69 Camaro BR code as this was a very late built car 11 A 69
The odometer reads 48K and given the great condition of the body before the restoration I have no reason to believe this isn't the true mileage on this car and this is just my opinion. The body panels are laser straight and the paint exceptional. All the bushings, rubber components, window glass, bumpers and stainless trim are new. There is also a Gardner exhaust system on the car. I'm going to put together a detailed list of the casting numbers and date codes over the weekend, should anyone be interested. I can also provide more photos than I'm allowed here. Everything works as it should, the lights, horns, reverse lights, wipers etc. The radial tires were used instead of the factory correct Polyglass just for the comfort of driving. This car has only been out 4 times since it was finished and it went just to local car shows and if it has been driven more than 60/70 miles, I'd be surprised. Inspections with a lift are welcome and for any other questions feel free to ask or call me before 8pm Est. at
