Extremely decorated, engraved, sculpted and gold or silver plated features, with an cow bone grip that's etched with religious symbols and the intertwined initials of the owner, Raymond H. Daniels (engraved on the blade.) 28.5" steel blade of diamond sectional type is profusely engraved with medieval military scenes of horses, knights, flowers and banners, both sides, in gold wash. Steel scabbard also features sculpted mountings. Needs a good cleaning up to make a great display. Circa 1870's, very elaborate as befits their rank and social standing. 37" overall length sheathed.
