Fine 19th C. Bone Gripped, Stirrup Guard Mexican/Latin American hand forged steel Cutlass Sword. In excellent original era condition. The blade carries a stamped maker Mark at the Ricasso. Bone grip has a Ink notation from a former collector. Handle turns due to age of steel mounting and possible shrinkage. Very sound hand forged weapon that will make a great addition to your collection of southwestern weapons. This sword is probably pre-Mexican Revolution era.
